 Tony Hodges is a seasoned Business Mentor & Adviser / Consultant / Interim Manager, currently operating principally in the SME sector. He offers a wide portfolio of commercial skills covering financial, marketing, operational and general management, which enable him to assist clients through periods of significant crisis or strategic change/development.
With a strong eye for detail, Tony has developed an excellent track record in performance improvement through the financial analysis of business operations and the introduction/implementation of new systems, whether they be financial, IT, HR or operational. Past assignments include a number of turnaround/recovery situations, often involving re-structuring and re-engineering of existing operations.
He is also able to contribute sound strategic thinking, acting as a "sounding board" for his clients in establishing plans for developing their businesses further. This encompasses market development (including overseas), start-up of new operations, outsourcing, acquisitions, strategic alliances, JVs or divestment of all or part of a business. Identifying and planning exit routes for owner-managers is a key activity.

During the earlier part of his career, Tony gained extensive experience in international trade in capital goods and other business-to-business services/products, both with major multinational companies (Compaq, De La Rue, Monsanto, Plessey/Siemens) and with SMEs. Over a 30-year period, he held senior positions in a variety of international companies (British, American, and Belgian), and lived in USA, Belgium and Brazil.
Tony holds an Honours degree in Engineering from the University of Leicester, and a Master's in Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, New York. He is a member of the Institute of Directors, the Association of Masters of Business Administration, the International Association of Contract and Commercial Managers, and the Institute of Business Advisers.
